Meet Your Therapist

Julia Kefford Practice Director

I am a Psychotherapist with a background in psychology, counselling, and social work, and over 10 years of experience working across community, hospital, corporate, and educational settings.

I have specialised experience in:

  • Developing & delivering mental health programs

  • Counselling & therapeutic interventions

  • Psychological disability support services

Having both personal and professional experience with mental health challenges, I offer a compassionate, non-judgmental space where clients can explore their thoughts, emotions, and experiences at their own pace.

Currently, I work at Australia’s largest adult psychiatric hospital, facilitating inpatient & outpatient programs and supporting patients as they navigate their mental health journey, addressing the social, emotional, and practical concerns that impact their recovery.

My approach to therapy is collaborative & tailored to your needs, drawing on evidence-based practices and integrating techniques from various therapeutic modalities to support meaningful growth & healing.

Beyond work, I’m a dog lover, leisure seeker, and snack enthusiast. You’ll find me spending time with my beloved dogs, Charlie & Boston, sharing laughs, and enjoying quality moments with my wonderful friends and family.
